Poem 313: The Middle Kid

One sandwiched in between of three
One struggling to be known
One lost within the knowing 'we'
One hopes to be alone

But when this child is taken out

suddenly the thought of being

One builds back 'round itself a cage
One feels in chains more free
One pushes back to center stage
One to unite the Three
