Poem 33: Clean (An educational poem for health class)

Clean is a sweet sort of style
that makes other people to smile.
So daily we scrub,
in shower or tub,
so not to be gross or smell vile.

Clean is an important tool
that helps others know we are cool.
We'll care for ourselves
and have better health,
so when germs attack, we will rule.

Clean is for our daily choosing.
We'll brush hair and teeth after snoozing.
Wear fresh clothes and shoes,
deodorant too.
Good habits are more than amusing.

Being clean will help us to blend.
When we stink it is hard to make friends.
So wash dirty clothes,
and don't pick your nose.
To your personal cleanliness tend.

  1. Poem 33: Boogers

I like to pick my nose
    It grows and grows
    Boogers come from this grove!

    Who needs trees
When money can be found in me
    All I’ve got to do
    Is do some gold mining!

    I stretch and I flex
For my job is quite sincere
To pick my nose with my toes
    It grows and grows

    Boogers come from this grove
Some are large and some are small
But I’ve got a solution for them all!

There’s a hole in my nose
My finger knows where it goes
    Now, for the booger flows!
    It grows and grows

    My boogers are a commodity
The recession best show some modesty
Because this gold mine and I
    Have an endless camaraderie

From nose to mouth the finger moves south
From mouth to nose the finger goes to where it grows
    And grows
